- Ernest Rutherford: Discovered the nucleus by bombarding a thin foil of gold with the positive alpha particles, the results was that alpha particls passed through the foil, while very few were deflected back at some weird angles.
Niels Bohrn: Came up with a model of atomic orbitals, where electrons revolved around the nucleus. However, this only proved for hydrogen atom, which had only one electron, but not for other atoms.
