Is y=1/4 x^0.5 a power function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. A power function is when you have the input variable (usually x) raised to some constant power e.g. \(x^{232.12}\). It's not to be confused with an exponential function, that is a constant raised to the power of an input variable e.g. \(1332^x\).
