What happens to incoming light rays that are parallel to the principal axis of a conves lens? Do they converge or diverge at what focal point?

if they are parallel to themselves only then they will focus on the principal focal plane of the lens , and if they are also parallel to the principal axis of the lens then they will focus on the principal focus of the lens...like shown below,.....
