you are looking at a 30/60/90 triangle. Do you remember the ratios? x for the smallest side, xsqrt3 for medium side, and 2x for hypotenuse. I think you are given the medium side, so 12 = xsqrt3, solve for x, then mulitply by 2 to get the hypotenuse

no. 12 = x sqrt3, so x = 12/sqrt3, and hyptonuse would be twice that,2x.
