Logarithm Question!!! Help!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve \[(\log_{10}x)(\log_{10}x^2) + \log_{10} x^3 -5 = 0\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you sure you typed that right? Can you solve it with a graphing calculator? I'm not sure it can be solved without one.

OpenStudy (raden):

logx(logx^2) + logx^3 - 5 = 0 2(logx)^2 + 3logx - 5 = 0 (2logx + 5)(logx - 1) = 0 solve for x, if 2logx + 5 = 0 or logx - 1 = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[logx^2=2logx\] that's the key...good job RadEn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you get from the second step to the third? in RadEn working out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dw i got it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=10^(-5/2) or = 10 ??
