What are the solutions of the system? Use a graphing calculator. y=x^2+4.6x+4.7 y=3.3x-3.7 A. (–3.47, 3.48) and (2.17, –15.17) B. (–3.47, –15.17) and (–2.17, –10.88) C. (–3.47, –15.17) and (2.17, 3.48) D. no solution

Here's a picture of the graph.

Notice how the distance between the graphs gets wider as you go up, like around (3, 12), (3, 14) area.

For confirmation on whether or not the system has a solution, you can set the y's equal to each other: x^2 + 4.6x + 4.7 = 3.3x - 3.7 x^2 + 1.3x + 8.4 = 0 and use the quadratic formula for the discriminant.

so no solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is correct! The graph shows it and the resulting quadratic discriminant is negative.
