the perimeter of a rectangle equals the sum of the lengths of its four sides. If the width of the rectangle is 5 inches and it's perimitre is 34 inches, find the lenght of the rectangle. I must show work. I went through my yexybook and can not find this in there.

perimeter = 2length + 2width 34 inches = 2length + 2(5) 34 = 2length + 10 24 = 2length length = 12
