Help with geometry! Given the square below, solve for x.

I got 6. But I feel like there's a step that comes after that? Like I have to multiply something by 2?? Or did I do this right?

well for a square, all the sides are the same, this means x+7=4x-11 now all you do is move x to one side and the numbers the other sooo, x+7+11=4x-11+11 x+18=4x x-x+18=4x-x 18=3x divide by 3 (all sides) x=18/3 x=6, you are right!!
