I am an awkward sentence offender. How do I cut back on those?

I really used to have issues with awkward sentences. I also had issues with comma splicing followed by a sentence fragment. Really just reading into grammar and trying to follow the rules was what helped me the most.

Basically. It was a skill that took refining on my own. Trying to be gramatically correct helped. Also reading my sentences allowed helped. Just try to make sure you wouldn't feel awkward saying it out loud.
