How do you solve -(-2)^4

OpenStudy (phi):

x^4 is short for x*x*x*x (x times itself 4 times) here you have -1 * (-2)*(-2)*(-2)*(-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use pemdas- use exponents first so -2 times -2 times -2 times -2 (16) then make it negative so it would be -16.
