OpenStudy (mathlegend):

x + 7 < 6 -7 -7 --------- x < -1

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

It is an open circle.... so it could be not be x-5 ≤-6 that would have a closed circle.... plus that was the only other one pointing to the left.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@MathLegend the last one is pointing to the left...

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

It is pointing to the right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the firsty and second one are pointing the same direction as the third

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

The first one... x + 9 < 10 -9 -9 ------------------- x < 1 remember you needed a -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its the first one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so confusedd bcause the second one is less than 6 and wouldnt that work too?

OpenStudy (mathlegend):

x + 7 < 6 was the answer.. it is the one we used. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait so its the second one?

OpenStudy (mathlegend):
