2/w + 3 > 29/w a. w > 9 b. w < 9 c. w < 0, w > 9 d. 0 < w < 9

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

start by multiplying every term by w will leave 2 + 3w > 29 you should be able to solve it now..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it has to be greater than zero right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait im confused

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

look at the solution provided by @ktnguyen1 he is saying w is less that 9 pick a value, say w =2 and substitute to check his solution 2/2 + 3 > 29/2 or 4 > 14.5 so the solution is incorrect...

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

if you multiply every term by w you get 2 +3w > 29 can you solve this...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

w=9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

w>9

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

but he does also have a correct solution in his working... its just the way its written and your solution is correct... to test it pick w = 10 2/10 + 3 > 29/10 3.2 > 2.9 yes... so your solution is correct.

wait so is it a or c?
