Find the remainder when f(x) is divided by (x - k) f(x) = 5x4 + 8x3 + 4x2 - 5x + 67; k = 2 I know i have to use the remainder theorm but i just cant get the correct answer... i think its -57?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

either use synthetic division to find the remainder or else compute \(f(2)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, im still confused...but i go 313? Is this correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it has to be either 313 354 217 or -57

OpenStudy (amistre64):

5x4 + 8x3 + 4x2 - 5x + 67 0 10 36 80 150 2) 5 18 40 75 R = 217 maybe
