Consider this - If you as a person were an experiment, but not only that, but an experiment that were directed by two males with the purpose of changing you as a person (in this case, it's both a scientist and a colonel changing this girl named Eliza into a mature young woman), and you had the chance to walk away after being through with the experiment, would you leave or stay with the person who changed you into someone "better"?

If Eliza didn't want to be changed I would leave but if she was happy being changed then it should be fine
