"chips" is your x value and "salsa" is your y value. All you have to do is look for the combination of x and y that is not in the shaded area.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First first of the 4 selections which is 10 and 2 for x and y. Find 10 along the horizontal axis. Then go up for the value of y. Check for shaded or not. If shaded, go to the next selection until you are out of the shaded area.

I think that it's 20 bags of chips and 2 jars of salsa?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The only way I can help you at this point is if you draw the diagram and locate 20, 2 on the chart. I can't see where you are looking, so you'll have to point to it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I saw the "20" on the y axis. and "2" on the X axis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You are pointing to x=2 and y = 0 Go over to the right 18 more and up 2. You'll see that it is shaded.

OH! Got the answer now. Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uw! You should have the last one as the answer, to check.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I had that. :) Anyways, thanks!
