Write a polynomial function of minimum degree with real coefficients whose zeros include those listed. Write the polynomial in standard form. 4, -2, and -1 + 2i f(x) = x4 - 7x2 - 26x - 40 f(x) = x4 - 3x3 - 8x2 - 13x - 40 < answer i chose f(x) = x4 + 6.5x2 - 26x - 40 f(x) = x4 - 3x3 + 8x2 + 13x + 40

Since you have -1 + 2i as a root, you will have -1 - 2i as a root also to get real coefficients, so your factored polynomial will be (x + 1 - 2i)(x + 1 + 2i)(x - 4)(x + 2) Multiply that out and you will have your answer.

okay so x^4-7x^2-26x-40

That was fast! Yes! You got it!

Thank you...again lol!
