OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

First off, it's D. Divide both sides by -8, and switch the sign, and you get x≥4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divid eboth sides of what?

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

the inequality

how did you find the equation to start out nwith?

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

I went through each of the answers to find out which one fits the graph. A black circle means it's going to be a greater than/less than sign with a line under it, so B and C were out. Then I eliminated the coefficients on the X variable for A and D by multiplying A by 4 and dividing D by -8, and A was x≥64 and D was x≥4

EmmaH, this is really easy :) So, by looking at the graph you know that x has to equal four or more. so: \[x \ge 4\] So it is obviously not the first 3. The answer is \[-8x \le -32 = x \ge 4\] So, the last option. Remember dividing by a negative changes the inequation sign.

oooh that makes sense:)
