What point of view is used in "Was It a Dream?" How does this point of view affect your experience as a reader? In one to two paragraphs, explain your answer.
Point of View means the perspective a story is told from. If it is told by a character, using words like "I did this.." or "I felt...", then it is first person point of view. If it is told from the point of view of an outside narrator that does not actually partake in the story (No use of "I" or "we"), then it is third person point of view. If it is told to YOU, using words like "you," then it is second person point of view. This is rare, though. Think about how these perspectives affect you when you're reading. In first person, you might connect with a character more. Sometimes a first person narrator is unreliable, and leads you to suspect whether all details of the story are "true does that help?
