A pair of shoes costs $30.99 and the state sales tax is 5%. Use the formula C = p + rp to find the total cost of the shoes, where C is the total cost, p is the price, and r is the sales tax rate. $46.49 $35.99 $41.24 $32.54

(30.99)(1.05)

Input the numbers where their corresponding variable is ....the cost would be c= 30.99 + 1.05 <--- you want this with a 1 bc if it was .05 ..it would just show you how much tax ..not the total cost ..and then solve btw it would be multiplied by 1.05 not added ...which makes it 32.54

oh excuse me rp ..not r that was correct it was c= 30.99 +.05(30.99)
