Solve the given equation and round to the nearest 4 decimals 8^2x=11 please help me :c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[8^{2x}=11\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take log base 8 of both sides \[\log _{8}(8^{2x})=\log _{8}(11)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the left parts cancel out and leaves \[2x=\log_{8}(11)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then divide by 2 to get \[x=\log_{8}(11)/2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh thank you :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep. Just type that into a calculator to get the actual number
