Find the area of the figure. Find the perimeter of the figure.
The perimeter of a plane figure is the distance around it.
@Lunalovegood You are missing two lengths in the figure, but from the scale we can assume that they are 1 and 2. How much distance would you travel if you walked around on the edge of the figure?
29?
How did you get that number?
well i counted the numbers around the object, I not sure if i am correct. This is something very new to me
Let's start in the upper right hand corner and walk down 5 then turn left and walk 5, then up 1, then 2, 2, 2, 2 and finally 5 to get back to where we started. Remembering that the perimeter of a plane figure is the distance around it.
now I got 28
Use a pencil and draw your path around the figure, counting as you go.
For the description I gave above it would be 5+5+1+2+2+2+2+5.
24

27
Don't guess, walk around it... and convince yourself you are right.
I'm not sure I keep getting 24 and 27
how do you get 27?
well i went around the object
