The occipital lobes are one of the four main lobes of fore brain .They are located in the rearmost portion of the skull.The occipital lobes are posterior to the temporal lobes and inferior to the parietal lobes.They are main centres of visual preception and colour recognization.The red part shown in the attachment is occipetal lobe.
