10^4x=9.325 solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10^0x=0.0009 Don't know if that's entirely right though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is how you do it: you have to get the out of the exponent: you have to put natural log on both sides then you can move the 4x to the front of the 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get the x out of the exponent:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\ln 10^{4x}=\ln 0.009\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that allows you to do this:\[4x \ln 10=\ln 0.009\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide ln10 to both sides:\[4x=\frac{\ln 0.009 }{ \ln 10 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then divide your answer by 4 to isolate the x, so x = 0.2424122101, to check your answer: \[10^{4x0.2424122101}=9.325\]
