I hope you don't mind if I first encourage you a little bit.  "i am not good at math"  Don't ever say or think that again.  With a little patience, you can get it.  Just slow down and think through each problem.

In this case, we are asked ONLY to check a solution.  This means we just have to substitute the values and see if they work.

 (1,-2)
x - 2y > 3

Substituting x = 1 and y = -2

(1) - 2(-2) > 3 -- We're hoping it's "greater than" 3.
1 + 4 > 3 -- Just a little simplifying.  negative times negative is positive, right?
5 > 3!!!  It works!

Well, that was only one of the conditions.  You try the other one.
