Does A= 6 and B = 3 ????

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

yup

OpenStudy (hba):

@butterflyprincess Whats your ques ?

OpenStudy (hba):

x+2y=6 for x-intercept - y=0 x=6 for y intercept-x=0 2y=6 y=3

OpenStudy (hba):

Which means you got them right here is your medal :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait then what sthe coordinate of point P so AP is perpendicular to th eline and |AP| = 1

OpenStudy (hba):

x+2y=6 y=3-x/2 We can easily find the x intercept by setting y=0 and solving for x 0=3-x/2 x/2=3 x=6 Now use the coordintates of x-intercept which are (6,0) (x-4)^2+(y-0)^2=1 (x-4)^2+y^2=1 But,y=3-x/2 Now plug that in and find the two solutions.

OpenStudy (hba):

@butterflyprincess Go it ?

OpenStudy (hba):

You need a graph ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh YES may I have a graph but that maes sense!

OpenStudy (hba):

sure.

OpenStudy (hba):

looks like you left :D
