Diffusion is based on a concentration gradient so if there is a very low concnetration (because the cell is large), there will be no diffusion out of the cell. ok @MandyMicheala
we know that plant cells use diffusion of water to nourish the cells. When a plant is dehydrated its cells 'suck in' the needed water from the soil in order to keep the balance of water inside and outside the cell the same. This is key to survival because water is needed for most cell activities, including ATP production in Krebs' Cycle (cellular respiration). @MandyMicheala i answered
