It's "transience." Transience is the idea that our memories deteriorate, overtime. What this means is that as time goes on, we remember past events with less accuracy. We may be VERY convinced that we can remember exactly how an event happened, when it happened. But the truth is that as time goes on, bits and pieces of our memories disappear. And our imaginations begin to fill in the blanks.
