OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi there, Do you need help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6y – 8 ≤ 10 add 8 to both sides 6y ≤ 18 divide by 6 y ≤ 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, i need help terribly!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i do not understand this at all- and my dad cant help me because he is not good with math =(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do the steps that I posted above help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes they do- except why do you add 8 to both sides?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since you have a negative 8 on the left side, when you add 8 to it, you cancel it out. Pretty much you are moving the -8 to the right side.
