Here's my 1st Q... A circular swimming pool has a diameter of 18 meters, the sides are 4 meters high, and the depth of the water is 3.5 meters. The acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 m/s^2 and the density of water is 1000 kg/m^3. How much work is required to: (a) pump all of the water over the side? (b) pump all of the water out of an outlet 2 m over the side?
You will probably have better luck with this by posting it under the Physics subject area. Click on the blue "Find More Subjects" link at the top of this page and select Physics.
@asnaseer But this is a calculus question :)
Is there a physics area too? Oh ok thanks I'm posting this there...hope to get some feedbacks
But you do need to know some Physics as well(e.g. how is work done calculated). You can leave it here as long as you also state all the equations related to work done as not all mathematicians will know that. :)
some subject areas are not as active as others. In those cases, please keep posting under the correct subject area but feel free to post a link to your question in any of the chat windows to ask for help.
thanks asnaseer
