linear means you can find an equation y = mx +b where m is the slope (change in y divided by change in x) try to find the slope between the first 2 points, and then the 2nd and 3rd points if you get the same m (more or less) then you have a line exponential means y = a e^(bx) if you use the points you can find a and b for this equation.
