The three major monotheistic religions are sometimes described as branches of the same family tree. If this is true, how would you describe the trunk of the tree?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know if this is true but but they all started with some kind of story of Adam and Eve and so it makes sense that they would be described as branches of the same family tree.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Abraham is the trunk of the tree. All three major monotheistic religions can trace their roots back to Abraham so that would make him the the trunk of the tree. I've had this question before and I promise this is the right answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh Abraham, I forgot that they could all trace their roots back to him but they all have an Adam and Eve story too.

OpenStudy (vortish):

well if you look at Jerusalem the three big religions of the world started there and im talking about Christianity. Islam and Judaism all three like haley stated come come from moses and the old testiment in the bible you have to just think of those as the trunk and all others are off shoots of those
