WTF is a ''harried quarry''!!?? A harried quarry might feel A. imperious and ramshackled. B. melancholic and carnivorous. C. harassed and hunted.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soooooo lost..:/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Heeey. It's C again. "To harry" is the tenaciously attack or persistently put a person or place in danger of attack. So if the quarry "a deep pit" is consistently harried, I'd say that certain machines are continuously digging in it to extract minerals like rocks and oil etc. Does that explain it? lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ummm..not really..is there a simpler way u can explain it? lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A hunted animal; prey. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/quarry i just typed it in google...:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that harried quarry? or just one of the words?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just quarry... but im sure that hairy is just ...hairy..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh.. harried...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure, no prob. So a quarry is a pit. Usually, you associate a quarry with where machines dent the landscape while digging etc. So this is basically a poetic way of saying that the quarry is "always being drilled." You know how people say that "such and such scars the landscape?" It's kind of like that. The quarry is constantly being attacked, and since it's a quarry, you can assume it's machinery doing the attacking - but that's unnecessary in light of your question, which is basically asking for a definition of "harried," which is the past tense of the verb "to harry" and means "to constantly attack.:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so.. a quarry is an animal.. and then there is harried.. so stick them together..:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats not what google says...:/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kelly226 Never thought of that! Yes, there's that too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kelly qoogle lies..lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oop! lol google

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahaha i guess so..:/ lol:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soo.. what does it mean??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would probably feel harassed and hunted if i was called a "harrie quarry"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or imperious and ramshackled.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i have NOOOO idea..:/ sorry!!!:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not if u were called one..what would one feel like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Although "quarry" is up for debate, I'm still certain it's C, as that lines up with the definition of "harried" the best.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you all!!:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem, and thanks for the medal. :)
