Think of quadrilateral JKML. What is the sum of the measures of all interior angles? That is given by the formula S = (n-2)180, where S = sum of measures of interior angles, n = number of sides. You already know the measures of two angles 58 and 98 degrees, you need to find the measure of angle JLM and then subtract all those from the sum of the measures of the angles. The key is to notice that lines AB and DE are parallel. From that you can find the measure of angle MLG, then once you have the measur of ange MLG you can get the measure of angle JLM. Then subtract 58, 98 and the measure of angle JLM from the sum of the angles and you get the answer.

Wow that's a lot... i'm still kind of confused. I did that and i keep ending up with a different number. I think the answer is 58, but i'm not sure @mathstudent55

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Because of the two parallel lines, what is the measure of angle JLM? Also, what did you get for the sum of the measures of the angles of quadrilateral JKML?
