So we have a linear inequality. An important thing to notice is that the line is DOTTED, so we are EXCLUDING any values that fall ON the line. We only include values that fall BELOW the line (Because that region has been shaded blue). So if we use the coordinate system, we can see that the blue DOT, (0,0) falls in the blue region yes? Draw some more dots and write them as ordered pairs! :)

Our points are given in the form (x,y) x is our location along the horizontal. y is our location along the vertical. So, starting from 0,0 (the center of the grid), if we move 1 to the left, and 1 down, and draw a dot, that point also falls in the blue region right? We moved 1 unit in the negative direction along the horizontal, and 1 unit in the negative along the vertical direction. Which we can write as (-1,-1) Think you can find some more? :) There are infinitely many pairs to choose from, just make sure you're in the blue region.

(-3,4) So if we move 3 to the LEFT, and 4 UP, we'll find ourselves drawing a dot ON the dotted line. Bad bad bad! :D Remember, we don't want to include values that fall ON the dotted line.
