OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

A ratio is a comparison between quantities.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i sorta undeerstand

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

For example, if you have two pencils and 8 erasers, then the ratio of pencils to erasers is 2 : 8 or 1: 4

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

length : width = ?

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

Length is 210 mm and width is 65 mm. Then Length : width = ?

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

c'mon, it is literally that easy.

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

Length : width = 210 : 65 Since both 210 and 65 are divisible by 5, we divide them by 5. Hence 210 ÷ 5 = 42 and 65 ÷ 5 = 13 ∴ the ratio of length to width is 42 : 13 @doylee15 I didn't wan't to just give you the answer but I hope you understand now.
