i think you have to take the 2 over to the other side and make it 10 so it would be \[y/ -2 = 10\]

close but remember that whenever you take it to the other side you would have to change its sign..

so y/2 = 10 or y/-2 = -10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no... y/-2 = 8 - 2
