or is it

\[\Large \log_{8}(22)\]

you would type in log(22)/log(8) to find \[\Large \log_{8}(22)\]

using a calculator,

\[\Large \log_{8}(22) = \frac{\log(22)}{\log(8)}\]

\[\Large \log_{8}(22) \approx 1.486\]
