Patrick was sick and had to take 50 mg of antibiotics each day for 2 weeks. Each day he takes his medicine the amount in his body doubles. How much medicine will be in his body at the end of the 2 weeks?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's the opposite of the last question you posted. Instead of half you do double.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@RyanL. so whats the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

last time you divded by 2 so this time you multiply it by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[50(2*d)\] where d is the number of days.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh okay

Question why if you only take 50 mgs each day would the meds double 50 , 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200 at the end of the first week an extra 50 mgs is adding on over 1500 mgs of medication...sorry to be weird ._.
