Is (3, 13) a solution of the equation y = 4x?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

y = 4x 13 = 4(3) ... plug in x = 3 and y = 13 13 = 12 ...multiply Since that is FALSE, (3,13) is NOT a solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Put, 3 as ur x, and 13 as ur y. So, 4(3)=12, not 13, that makes the (3,13) not a solution. :)

P.S. In that format...(3, 13), this is in (x,y) So, x=3 y=13
