can someone help me solve this 2sin^2x + sinx-1 =0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Treat it like a quadratic equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know what I mean by that, @0213 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, i solved it, i got (2sinx-1)(sinx+1), then the answer for (2sinx-1) are 30 deg, and 150 deg, but i don't know how to get the answer for (sinx+1) since it solves to 270 deg (that is what the back of my book says it is).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If sin(x)+1=0 then sin(x)=-1, that occurs at 270º

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, i get it. because on the graph of sin, at y=-1, x= 270. thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No prob'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you help me with another question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Post it as a new question and I'll get to it when I can.
