RAT is a right-angled triangle with angle ART = 90 degrees, RA = 6 cm and RT = 8 cm. If the triangle is folded along the line MN, vertex A coincides with with the vertex T. - explain why MN is perpendicular to AT. - Name a pair of similar triangles. - Hence, find the length of MN

Someone please help with this question!

a) because vertex A coincides with vertex T b) RAT and MNT c) AT = sqrt(6^2+8^2)=10 NT=10/2=5 Since RAT and MNT are similar triangles, RA/RT = MN/NT Put the values inside, gives 6/8=MN/5 MN = 15/4

There is this thingy called the perpendicular bisector theorem. If it folds over an they coincide that implies that the line MN bisects (cut in half) AT. If it bisects it, it must be perpendicular.
