let Z ={(1,1),(2,3),(0,-1),(-1,-3)} be a linear function from Z to Z. Find f(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please help someone! :'(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The phrasing seems a little strange to me. But it seems like they are asking for the equation of the line that goes through all those points... If so, just pick two, use the slope formula, then substitute the y-y1=m(x-x1)

... And solve.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No no! it has nothing to do with the slopes. Even i didn't understand the problem, that's why i'm here for help! p.s : it's a question from relations and functions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. Sorry I don't understand the question. Good luck!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well if it says find f(x)... they are asking for the function or the equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

instead of writing it y = ....... you write it f(x) = ....... , but it is basically the same thing
