Why do we still not have subsections for physics?

It is definitely a good question though @henpen. We can just give them time of course. However, for now I would say just post in another science area for now.

The subsections in each group(or subject) were created by users when that feature - create your own study group was available. Guess no one created anything for physics?

That's not really accurate. We released subgroups in math as an experiment. We still haven't decided if we're going to extend it to other groups.

We'd love to hear some suggestions on subgroups for Physics, though.

I would refer this to someone who actually knows what they're doing with regards to physics (@Jemurray3 or @CarlPham, for example).
As a starter,
Mechanics, Electricity & magnetism and waves, quantum mechanics and astronomy seem to be common questions.
