The digits 1,2,3, and 4 can be arranged to form 24 different four-digit numbers. What is the sum of all 24 numbers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 will be used in the ones place 6 times, 2 will be used in the ones place 6 times 3 will be used in the ones place 6 times and 4 will be used in the ones place 6 times when you add you will get for the ones place \(6(1+2+3+4)=60\)

repeat the process for the tens, hundreds and thousands and add there maybe a snappier way to do this, but i think this will give you the answer quickly
