How can I convert from joule seconds to joules??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Divide by the number of seconds?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply by seconds actually

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So if it is 16 J/s I multiple by 3600 seconds?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a Joule second would be Js a Joule per second would be J/s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if you have 16 J/s you can think of it as 16 J/ 1s right? But you want only joules. Since you know that you have 3600 seconds you can just set it up like a proportion. if there are 16 joules per second how many joules are there in 3600 seconds. 16 J/ 1s = x J/ 3600 s solve for x
