what is the slope of the line 2x+5y=-2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The slope of the line is -(2/5). The first thing to do is subtract 2x from both sides. The result will be 5y=-2x-2. Divide both sides by 5 and you will get y=-(2/5)x -(2-5). :)

y=mx + b so isolate y, as nvrclvr states & m is your slope :)
