what is the slope of this line? 4x-2y=2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 2x - 1, the slope is 2 or 2/1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First put your equation in y=mx + b form. You do that by solving for Y. then the leading coefficient of X will be your slope, in this case 2 or 2/1. 2 = rise, 1 = run (right since its positive)

and of course (-1) is your y intercept: (0, -1) which is the first point you plot in your graph.
