A company's total revenue R(in millions of dollars) is related to its expenses by the equation R=4x^3-16x^2+12x, where x is the amount of expenses (in tens of thousands of dollars). What values of x will produce zero revenue?

@Hero or @robtobey can you please help me with this problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[R=0=4x ^{3}-16x ^{2}+ 12x = 4x(x ^{2}-4x+3) = 0\]

So are they just basically asking for the zero's? I got {0,1,3}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! Tada! It's just a tricky way of asking!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay haha thanks! Yeah I understood once you took out the GCF! Makes sense now!
