How did religion influence the Magna Carta?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

During the 1800 election, the Democratic-Republicans accused Federalists of destroying republican values and also accused Federalists of favoring Britain in order to promote aristocratic, anti-republican values

What do Democrats, Republicans, Federalists, or the year 1800 have to do with the Magna Carta?

First off America had NOTHING to do with the Magna Carta. Religion influenced is obviously because in Britain the catholic church was head of the state before that in some cases they were above the queen. Thus it had to influence it the catholic religion was a major influence. Thats why in America they made freedom of religion WE FORGET because its practically extinct what religious rule of a country does. When you hold a church higher than the government without seperation of church and state all laws and policies favor their belifes and they get tons of money and courruption grows massively. In our world that isnt very existent anymore other than countries like Iran or Isreal were Religious tyranny robs peoples expression and freedoms and locks them into living in a standard against their natural wants and dreams.
