What is the final result of DNA replication?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I suppose the answer depends on what is being replicated but in general replication will give two copies of the original DNA with one strand of each copy from the original DNA molecule in question. In eukaryotes it would be two sets of chromosomes but in simpler organisms like bacteria there would be two copies of the genome represented as two bacterial chromosomes (or two large circular strands of DNA if you prefer).
